Outfit of the night #1

Last night I was at a 'Black and White' themed party and I really liked my outfit so I wanted to share it with you guys! Please excuse the funny colour of the pictures, we have a red light for some reason and it's really hard to take outfit pictures by yourself! I need to acquire a lovely friend who will take them for me...
Anyway, my dress is from Urban Outfitters, I've had it for a few years and I absolutely love it because it's quite simple and very flattering and then you turn around... that back. I really love backless things, I'm actually known for wearing backless dresses and tops, so this is right up my street. I also really like the graphic floral print since I'm not one for overly girly prints and this is more subtle. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit really simple because I like to be comfortable even at parties so I just paired it with some Primark tights and my black Dr Marten's to give the outfit some edge. The necklace is just the one I wear every day, which says "I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up my friend", a quote from a John Green book.
I'm not normally one to talk about underwear on my blog but I felt like it was my obligation to warn you about stick on bras at this point. Obviously with a backless dress like this you can't wear a normal bra so I wore a stick on bra from Primark which kept coming off even when I was sitting down so I actually ended up taking it off half way through my show choir rehearsal before the party (not in public of course) because it was annoying me so much. So be warned- if you want to wear a stick on bra make sure it sticks before the event because you might find yourself in a situation where it is not appropriate to keep touching your boobs to stick the bra back on...

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you want to see some more outfit posts in the future!
