The 8 Hour Test- Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation

Today's post is an eight hour review of a foundation I recently tried- MAC Studio Sculpt. I put it on in the morning and wore it for eight hours so I could show you how it wears, and I'm quite impressed! I have quite oily skin so it's really hard for me to find a really long wearing foundation that doesn't requite constant touch ups but this one actually did quite well.
In the picture above you can see what it looked like in the morning- I'd say it's medium coverage and definitely a matte finish. Unfortunately it does emphasise the dry patches around my nose a little bit but I think that with a good primer it would apply much more smoothly. It looks a little chalky when you first apply it, especially because I set it with a powder, but the natural oils in my skin quickly fixed that issue.

This is what the foundation looked like after eight hours of wear- I'd like to add that I was walking around town all day so it was quite a challenge for my foundation and I'm very impressed! You can see there's a bit of shine and the coverage has slightly rubbed off around my nose and my chin but nothing a little concealer and powder couldn't fix. Considering that I didn't touch up at all during the day, I'm really happy with the oil control of this foundation.
I would definitely recommend this foundation if you have oily skin but do wear a primer with it (I'm going to wear Benefit's Porefessional in the future to smooth out my skin). I wouldn't recommend it if you have dry skin because it does emphasise dryness a bit.

I hope this little review was helpful! Let me know if you want to see any other products in the eight hour test!
